Sian Richards is a photographer based in Toronto, Canada. Working primarily with natural light and the simple elegance of everyday circumstances, Sian strives to capture the quiet magic locked inside each of her subjects. Her work focuses the cultural and the culinary; she's been a mainstay photographer for such prestigious publications and companies as the National Ballet of Canada, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Soulpepper Theatre Company and Toronto Life magazine.
Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Sian moved to Toronto in 1996 and started working as first assistant to George Whiteside, a well-known Canadian fashion and editorial photographer and artist. After working in the film and television industries, Sian turned to photography full-time in 2005.
